NZD/USD slides further amid dairy price drop

FXStreet (Córdoba) - NZD/USD dropped further and fell from 0.7830 to 0.7783, approaching yesterday’s lows after a decline of GlobalDairyTrade price index. In the latest auction the index fell 1.1% from the previous trading event.

The kiwi was holding below 0.7800, near daily lows as the US dollar climbed further in the currency market.

NZD down across the board

The decline in dairy prices pushed the New Zealand dollar to the downside across the board. AUD/NZD climbed from 1.0795 to 1.0840, hitting the highest since last Friday, while EUR/NZD rose from 1.5870 to 1.5930. NZD/USD was trading at 0.7798, 70 pips below Monday’s close.
