USD/CHF hits fresh highs above 0.9500 and retreats

FXStreet (Córdoba) - USD/CHF rose above 0.9500 and printed a fresh daily high at 0.9513 but then pulled back and it was trading at 0.9495/0.9499, up 1% from Friday’s closing.

Greenback gained momentum across the board during the European session and reached fresh highs. The Swiss franc was algo falling versus the pound and the euro. The USD/CHF pair rose more than a hundred pips from the lows and if it ends above 0.9500 it would post the strongest close since January 14.

To the upside, above 0.9515 immediate resistencia might lie at 0.9530/35 (Feb 20 high) followed by 0.9560. On the opposite direction, support levels could be located at 0.9475, 0.9425 and 0.9385 (daily low).

Yellen’s speech could set the trend for the next leg of USD – Investec
