Flash: Week ahead has key releases - Nomura
FXstreet.com (London) - Research teams at Nomura offer key events for the week ahead.Next week the key data releases and events to watch are:
1. Australian general elections (Saturday) – latest polls are showing that the
coalition will likely win the election with a majority of seats in the house of
representatives.
2. Chinese exports (Sunday) – we expect a pickup in exports to 7% compared with
5.1% for July.
3. Japan GDP growth (Monday 00:50 BST) – We forecast a large upward revision
in real GDP growth to 4.3% q-o-q annualized in the second set of preliminary
estimates, versus +2.6% in the first set.
4. Australian employment (Thursday 02:30 BST) – the release usually surprises
to the upside; we expect a 5K improvement.
