German 2-yr yield at record lows on deposit rate cut talk

FXStreet (Mumbai) - The yield on the German 2-year bund yield dropped to a record low after Draghi said policymakers discussed further cut in the deposit rate.

The yield now trades around -0.307%; down 5.6 basis points (bps). The benchmark 10-yr yield weakened almost 5 basis points to 0.525%.

The US-German 10-yr yield spread advanced to 150 basis points from 146 basis points seen ahead of the ECB rate decision.

GBP/USD turns negative after US data

The GBP/USD pair dropped to a low of 1.5292 after the US jobless claims hit fresh decade low, while the EUR/USD dropped on a dovish talk from ECB President Draghi.
