AUD/USD retraces last days’’ gains, moves toward 0.7600

AUD/USD snapped a 6-day winning streak by falling sharply on Thursday, retracing the past two days’ gains.

The dollar reacted positively to the latest string of mixed US data, while the Aussie faced self-weakness during the Asian session on the back of disappointing domestic employment figures

AUD/USD pulled back from a 2-month high of 0.7734 and fell all the way to a low of 0.7626 in recent dealings. At time of writing, the pair is trading around 0.7630, roughly at the same level it closed Monday’s session.

AUD/USD levels to consider

As for technical levels, next supports could be faced at 0.7625 (21-day SMA), 0.7580 (Oct 17 low) and 0.7554 (100-day SMA). On the other hand, resistances could be faced at 0.7734 (Oct 20 high), 0.7758 (Aug 11 high) and 0.7800 (psychological level).
