AUD/JPY rises to 14-month highs

FXStreet (Córdoba) - The AUD/JPY broke above 96.50 and climbed to 96.59 reaching the highest price since June 2013. The recovery of the Aussie and an ongoing weakness in the Yen pushed the pair to the upside on Thursday.

AUD/JPY keeps rising

Today the pair is headed toward the seventh daily gain out of the last eight trading days and also the strongest close since in 14 months.

The area around 96.00 and 96.50 capped the upside several times during 2014. Everytime price approached the mentioned levels lost upside momentum and pulled back. On Thursday so far is consolidating above 96.50, but just a few pips.

EUR to trend towards 1.2800 - Rabobank

Jane Foley, Senior Currency Strategist at Rabobank explained that the ECB President Draghi will also be present at the Jackson Hole event, and eye the EUR lower 12 months view.
