AUD/USD reaches fresh 1-week highs

FXStreet (Córdoba) - Following a short-lived correction and a brief visit below 0.9300, the AUD/USD resumed the upside and has climbed to fresh weekly highs as the greenback recedes across the board at the beginning of the European session.

The AUD/USD rose through the 0.9330 area and printed a marginal high of 0.9334 in recent dealings. At time of writing, the Aussie is trading at 0.9328, 0.26% above its opening price. The pair has climbed nearly 1.0% over the last days, extending a recovery from 2-month lows scored last week.

There is no first-tier data scheduled for the rest of the day, so some consolidation could be expected in the absence of news.

AUD/USD technical levels

As for technical levels, next resistances levels are seen at 0.9340 (100-day SMA), 0.9358 (50-day SMA) and 0.9373 (Aug 6 high). On the other hand, supports could be found at 0.9270 (Aug 26 low), 0.9235 (Aug 21 low) and 0.9200 (psychological level).
